Overview

The screenshot below gives a good representation of this simple yet valuable report.  This report's purpose is to display sales units and dollars at either the cost or retail dollar value depending on the choice chosen in the report options when running the report.  This report allows you to view sales for the current retailer on a per item basis, based on time period of your specification. The option interface allows you to set pre-defined time periods, set custom time periods and limit geography. When used wisely, this report can be leveraged with the email delivery options to provide recurring reports delivery automatically with the settings you customized for your needs.

Click-Through Interactivity

Notice in the above screenshot there are several columns which are blue in color. One of the big benefits of the web reporting is the ability to embed a number of rich interactions with the report results, right from inside the report. Usually a left-most column that is clickable indicates a drill-down capability which will open a new report for the specific item or category with a higher level of data granularity. Holding your mouse over the link should provide you with a hint of what the link can do as well. Links in other columns often will provide you with pop-up graphs to enhance your understanding of the data in that row/column as well.
