Overview

One of the easiest mistakes to make when first logging into the Avantalytics mobile interface is to opt out of providing the site with access to your GPS location on your phone. Unfortunately, its only later when users realize they cannot get access to store-specific information due to this choice. Below is a step-by-step for how to undo this on an Android phone using Google Chrome.

1.) Open a new Chrome browser window.

2.) Once it opens, click the browser options – this is usually either three vertical bars at the top right of the window or three dots.

3. ) Click on the browser options, and you should see something similar to the screenshot on the right.

4.) Under the Advanced area (text in blue), you want to find and click on “Site Settings,” to manage individual site permissions.

Once you're on the Site Settings menu, which you can see to your right, you should look for “Location.”  When you find it, click this option so that you can edit individual permissions in order to re-allow Avantalytic’s site to use your GPS location service. Ensure that "Location" is set to “Ask Before Accessing”.

Once that is set there will be two lists below: “Blocked” and “Allowed”.  Make sure Avantalytics is not in your "Blocked" list. If it is, you should see www.avantalytics.com as one of the options – tap on it and you should see that the permissions is currently set to “Block”.

Just below it you will see a “Clear and Reset” button. Click this to reset it. The phone will ask you to confirm this action, so click "Yes."

Once you’ve followed these steps, you may exit the settings, and re-open Avantalytics mobile on Google Chrome.  This time, when you see the message to permit Avantalytics to access to your GPS settings, choose "Allow Always."  From here on out you should be good to go.
